Our History
For over 25 years, Doralene Deokielal worked in medical imaging and radiation therapy; a career built on precision, compassion, and showing up for people on some of their hardest days. She saw burnout up close, in her patients and in herself, long before she had a name for it.
Then her own life shifted course. As her children grew and left home, Doralene found herself navigating empty nesting; a transition she describes as one of the most disorienting of her life. She went looking for support and came up short. The resources were thin, the in-person community even thinner, and the isolation was real.
So she built what she couldn't find.
Boom Well started as an answer to that gap: a place for real coaching, real community, and the kind of connection that helps people feel seen again — not just talked at. Doralene brought in her partner, a certified Master Health Coach with 30 years in fitness and nutrition, and together they shaped Boom Well into something bigger than either of them could build alone; combining 50 years of experience and two master's degrees with a shared belief that wellness should feel like connection, not another item on a to-do list.
What began as one woman's search for support has grown into coaching, retreats, corporate wellness programs, and a community built around one idea: you don't have to navigate life's transitions alone.

Today, Boom Well works with women, couples, and professional teams across individual coaching, retreats, and corporate programs; helping people reset, reconnect, and rebuild their momentum, wherever they're starting from.

Meet Doralene Deokielal
Doralene Deokielal is an NB-HWC Health Coach and co-founder of Boom Well, specializing in empty nesting and professional burnout. Growing up in the Caribbean gave her a unique perspective — shaped by strong community connections, resilience, and a culture that values both warmth and hard work. That upbringing shapes how she coaches: with heart, authenticity, and an eye for what truly restores people to themselves.
Doralene is a mom, an athlete, and a dancer (both salsa and swing), with a love of books and animals. She's also a sailboat captain, and brings the same focus, discipline, and adventurous spirit from sailing into her work with clients.
Doralene holds a master's degree and is a board-certified Health and Wellness Coach through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) — one of the top-tier certifications in the field.
Beyond coaching, Doralene is a speaker and author, leading conferences that help others move from burnout to balance and from isolation to connection. Her style is warm, practical, and action-oriented — clients leave with tools in hand, renewed energy, and a clear direction for their next chapter. After practicing in medical imaging and radiation therapy for over 25 years, she's seen firsthand the toll of personal and professional burnout — and what it takes to recover from it.
Based in Arizona with offices in Tucson and Chandler, Doralene brings over 25 years of personal and professional experience to her work with clients. Experiencing empty nesting firsthand shifted her own identity — and Boom Well was born out of that transition, at a time when resources and in-person support were hard to find. Boom Well exists to build community, create human connection, and bring back the belly laughs that help people feel seen again.
